Project Cuba is a challenge I need to do to get final closure. Reconciliation and forgiveness is a huge part of my life as of recent.
At first it was just me that wanted to meet with the Cuban Mig Pilot but I was subtly persuaded that it would be great if we could document this meeting on film.
I was introduced to a very special lady Linda de Jager from Endgame Media.
What an incredibly enthusiastic person. At first I just wanted a 3 minute promo video to assist with fundraising for this Cuba trip. We were then going to do a short 26 minute documentary. Her enthusiasm was so contagious that the 26 minute documentary evolved into a 45 minute documentary. This has now even expanded further and we are planing a 75 minute full length 'movie'.
Linda is very knowledgeable when it comes to the Bush War! She has produced a 2 volume DVD set on the Bush War which extensively covers both sides of the conflict - SA and Cuba/Angola. See her Website www.endgamemedia.co.za.
Colleagues of mine who are with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 322 started a fundraising drive to get me and a film crew to Cuba to document this meeting. If you feel that you would like to contribute financially to this amazing project then I ask that you go to the following link http://www.eaa.org.za/node/253 and here you will find the banking details and instructions,. Alternately you can use the PayPal link on the right to donate. Even if you don't have a PayPal Account you can donate using a credit card at the same link.
Have a look at the awesome promo Linda and her team put together here on You Tube.- Project Dreamwings

Extracts from a testimonial recieved from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA)
"I would like to thank Arthur Piercy for inspiring us. We need to always have driven and positive human beings like him, who don't constantly dwell on the ills of the past but on the possibilties of the future" (Zola)
"To me the important points that he made were that one's life is very important and it is that indiviual's responsibility to take care of it no matter what; and that determination can conquerany obstacle" (David)
"I was humbled by his humility, determination and passion for life. Nothing can and will stand in his way and I admire it about him. He just opened my eyes to the fact that if you want to you can, all you need is determination" (Ntombi)
"Indeed your response to a life changing circumstance certainly places you in a special class, somewhere above the rest of us. But your incredible sense of humour, your humaness - those form the bridge that allows ordinary human beings to rub shoulders with you and face their own, smaller situations, encouraged. Thank you for that." Nadia Coetzee : Director: Foreign Qualifications Evaluation and Advisory Services.
Thank you for your donation.
